What Causes Delay In Periods Inspite Of Taking Aldactone And Ovigyn DSR?

Hi myself Subhendu.... My wife is having PSOS and she is 24 years of age. Earlier she had started her menstruation bit late of her teenage like 14-15 years. But then after all were well. After our marriage she got a check up from an GP, he advised to take Diyane-35 and told that when we will look for baby we should see him. So when we planned for baby we stopped the medicine at the same time she stopped her periods, we consulted our GP then he gave Obimet SR-1000mg twice daily with Aldactone (both are continuing for the last 5 months). But Still she is not having her periods. Now doctor has asked to take Ovigyn DSR 75.(for the last 14days) But no result yet. Is there any risk? Should we go for surgery?

Hi,

I would suggest your wife to take the following hormone levels - FSH, TSH, LH, CBP, AMH, serum prolactin in order to identify any hormonal deficiency or excess which is affecting her fertility. After stopping Ovigyn DSR, withdrawal bleeding will occur after 3 to 5 days. Reviewing the pelvic scan again for uterine or ovarian mass or cyst should be done.
