What Causes Delay In Periods Despite Taking Unwanted-72?

I had unprotected sex wid my gf on 31st oct then next day she take unwanted 72 ....So my question is there are 9 days gone after taking pill bt periods are not coming how long menses will come? Pls suggest me as soon as possible ,After that wht should i do ?

Hi there,

She took the emergency contraception Unwanted 72 within 24 hours, which is the ideal time frame for it to work best. This makes the risk of her getting pregnant quite small.

She may or may not bleed after taking the Unwanted 72, it is not a sign of whether the pill has been effective or not. Her next periods may also not be on time due to the hormonal nature of the pills, so I would wait to see if she is late for her next periods. If her next menstruation is more than a week late, then you can do a urine pregnancy test just to be sure.
