What Causes Delay In Periods And Dizziness?

I am a 45 year old relatively healthy woman. I am 2 days late with my period. I mean there is nothing when I wipe. Yesterday I wore a pad because my tummy felt hot as if it was coming but nothing. I had 2 light dizzy spells one yesterday and the other Saturday. I was reading up on pregnancy but not sure because I haven't gotten pregnant since I was 23 years old due to endo. I know I'm not going through menopause either. What could it be? Should I consider taking a pregnancy test? I would live to be pregnant but I don't want to be disappointed.

hi

Thank You for the query.

As per your history,Your just 2 days late to your periods.
I would like to mention that an average healthy woman of your age, gets her menstrual cycle in a gap of every 25-35days. So if you are delayed by just 2 days ,i ask you not to worry, and wait for few more days, like a week.

And as your are about to reach your age of menopause,You are in a phase called Perimenopause, where slight irregularity or delay in the periods is noticed.Kindly Do not worry about it. Its very Common symptom seen in women of your age group.

and moreover the symptoms which you mentioned, like hot tummy, light dizziness, could be because of the PMS(pre menstrual syndrome)

I recommend you to wait for few more days, and still if you do not get your periods, you need to do the pregnancy test, and then consult your gynecologist.

Hope this helped.

Thank You
Stay Healthy.
