What Causes Delay In Periods After Weaning Off Divery?

Hello Doctor
Me and my husband are planning baby. I am suffering from PCOS and everyday taking Glycomate 500SR.
I generally have irregular periods so took divery 10 mg course for 5 days. I have completed 7 days stopping the medicine, But still not got periods. Should i take pregnancy test again. please advice.

Hello welcome to HCM. I imagine that you are taking glycomet as your blood glucose is more or you have put on weight.Keeping these facts aside your other doubt; taken divery tablet. Progesterone hormone present in the body before the periods. when this level decreases period happens.Divery tablet induces period if there is no pregnancy as it contains progesterone. If there is pregnancy there will be continued secretion of progesterone hormone. If you are not pregnant then once you stop tablet wait for 3-4 days, you will have periods. then also you dint had, you can get UPT test to confirm pregnancy. Take care. My best wishes with you.
