What Causes Delay In Periods After Having A IUI?

hi I m 28 years old.i m married still 4 years completed.i had a antibody syndrome my crp level is 9.80.last October I done my laproscopy...my left fallopian tube affected by some infection so it will be closed..ihad single tube but both overies are normal...ET also normal...my gynec suggested for iui with clomiphene citrate and hsg injection...my first iui done with dosage....my husband sperm level also normal...after my iui treatment gynec prescribed susten200mg for 18 days....my periods was delayed upto 34 days....then my second iui also done again my periods was delayed by 40 days my test also negative....gynec precibed meprate for five days I got my periods on sixth day.....I want to know why my periods was delayed after every iui ....reason for negative result...

I have read your description and understand your concern.
Following assisted reproductive techniques like IUI, there would be administration of certain hormonal medications, which will cause delay in periods as these medications would help to implant and carry on with the pregnancy, if fertilization takes place.
If the fertilization takes place and the fertilized embryo fails to get implanted in the uterus, then pregnancy does not happen, and you would get a negative result.
In case you fail with this process, it would be advisable to go for invitro-fertilization (IVF) procedure.
Kindly follow what advise your doctor gives in this regard.
