I am 21 years old and married. My period has never been normal. I can have my period anywhere from 36 days to months apart. Lately my period has been somewhat normal and comes at least once a month at some point, but not always on time. I was expecting my period in at least a couple weeks, but about a week ago I noticed some blood spots in my normal discharge and since then it has turned to brown (clot-like) discharge for almost a week. I have researched that it could be many different things such as old blood, miscarriage, hormone imbalances, implantation bleeding, ovulation, etc. I have also noticed that my stomach has been achy a lot too. I am not sure if that has anything to do with it, but any pressure on any part of my stomach just feels achy. Even walking makes it feel funny. I don't think I am pregnant because my husband and I are preventing at this point and I am irregular anyway. And I am not on any pills for preventing. My exercising hasn't been any different, I haven't changed anything about my habits or anything so I am not sure what could have caused this. I don't want to see a GYN because we are college students and work full time so time is hard to find at this point as well as money. Any suggestions as to what you think it may be would be great.
