General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The reason for your delayed period could be pelvic inflammatory disease. The infection can delay the menstruation. You can wait for next one week for period to come. If you still don't get period than consult gynecologist for Hormonal profile investigation and detailed pelvic examination.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Parth Goswami, General & Family Physician
