What Causes Delay In Conception While Treating PCOS?
Hi, I am 29 years old and periods are irregular. I did FSH and LH test and it came out as I m suffering from PCOS as my Fsh was 7 and LH was 18 on second day of periods. My doctor gave me Diane 35 tablets for 3 months and after that when I checked my Fsh and LH level were 7.8 and 8.36. So my doctor suggested to do follicular test but my follicles were not growing. We are trying for baby but no succeeding. Now my doctor has asked me take some injection. So is it safe? Please help
Women with PCOS do not ovulate every month. High level of androgens which is primarily a male hormone, interfere with the development and release of eggs. So if healthy eggs is not released it can't be fertilized by the perm. But let me tell you that not all woman who have PCOS have difficulty with fertility. Even you are not ovulating every month, you can still be pregnant. I can only tell you about the safety of the injection if you will tell me the name. I suggest talk to your doctor regarding the safety.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Prabhash Verma, General & Family Physician
