My mother had a procedure done through her right groin. A stent put in heart valve. At time of procedure Saturday is was 10, Sunday 9 an today 8 same with her bp. No docotr has been in to see me to explain the reason or next steps
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. Hemoglobin level can get decreased whenever a person undergoes surgical procedure as it could cause certain amount of bleeding. However, following the procedure, hemoglobin level should start rising back to normal by taking iron and folic acid supplements by about 3 months time. If this doesn't happen, then the source for blood loss or the other causes like malabsorption from intestine needs to be evaluated and treated accordingly. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
