What Causes Darkened And Burnt Skin After Using Tiger Balm On Face?

Hi doctor. I used tiger balm on my forehead as I was getting a headache. As I woke up in the morning my forehead was dark and I got a burnt patch under my left eyebrow. I am using betnovate n. Will it help or can you suggest something that would help clear the burn and marks

Understanding your concern.
Thanks for your query ,As you mention dark and burnt skin due to tiger balm .Many people with sensitive skin can experience such symptoms .Tiger balm contain ingredients like camphor, menthol cajaput oil,peppermint and ingredients that provide heat sensation.These ingredients sometimes cause skin problems to those having sensitive skin.

Tiger balm can cause dermatitis ,allergic reaction and chemical burns.

I would suggest you to stop use of tiger balm ,wash your face immediately with mild soap with warm water,apply some moisturizer like calamine lotion,for headache take ibuprofen or aspirin and apply ice pack to the affected skin.

If condition persist or get worse consult dermatologist ,who may prescribe you antihistamine drug along with other medicines.
