What Causes Dark Stool?

For the past several months, I have had dark (blackish-green) small stool with watery, sticky diarrhea 6 or more times a day. The stool floats and is usually accompanied by gas. It is highly malodorous and does not appear to be the result of any specific food. I am 4-years post gastric bypass.

it appears to be malina. it is digested blood from stomach down bellow to intestine. consult surgeon for examination and diagnosis of source of bleeding. occult blood test may be done.
