What Causes Dark Spots On My Cheeks?

Hi!gud am doc,I'm 34 years old female.I've experiencing a dark spots on my two cheeks.It was started when I am pregnant for my first baby last 2005.After my delivery I've started to apply any medication just like an astringent and bleaching cream,but it still it happened.My question is"how to get rid" these type of problem?

This skin condition is called as Melasma...it presents as a brown patch most commonly over the central of face...Yes it has a great tendency to start or increase in pregnancy...
Talking about the treatment- first and foremost is sunprotection for which use a broad spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or above...
In the night use a depigmentary agent with hydroquinone 2-4% over the depigmented area for 3 weeks...
Increase you fruits and green intake rich in minerals and vitamins...
