What Causes Dark Colored Marks On Back And Stomach?

my wife has dark colored marks on her back and on stomach .On consulting a doctor , we were told this is due to iron deficiency .We would like to know whether iron deficiency leads to such tiny dark colored marks and would like to know more details of this condition and its cure

Hi.
As per your case history your wife is either having vitamin b12 deficiency or pityriasis versicolor (a fungal infection).
My treatment advice is -
1. Wear loose clothes and maintain good hygiene.
2. Apply an antifungal cream like clotrimazole cream twice daily on it.
3. Take a vitamin b12 supplement once daily for 3 months.
4. Other treatment options are topical kojivit, tretinoin, oral antifungals taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
