What Causes Dark Bruising On Stomach?

I am experiencing bruising in my stomach. I have to give myself blood thinners in my stomach, about 2 inches from my belly button. there is a little bruising but not much. The bulk of the bruising is below this injection area, and it seems very dark bruising. i do not inject there so I know it isnt that. it is NOT painful.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Bruising in the stomach area can be caused by various factors, including injury, trauma, or medication side effects. The bruising below the injection site might indicate more severe damage or internal bleeding, even though it is more profoundly related to the injections. It's essential to consult a doctor to determine the cause of the bruising and to receive proper treatment. Blood thinners can also increase the risk of bruising and bleeding.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Priyanka, General & Family Physician
