What Causes Dark Brown Vaginal Discharge While On Sprintec?
I had a medical abortion one month ago. I started birth control for the first time (Sprintec) 3 days ago. I ve just started getting this dark brown discharge and I was wondering if this could be a complication with the abortion or just a normal side effect to new birth control pill? Thanks.

Your discharges may be due to your contraception, a local vaginal infection not related to abortion or an infection post abortion if you never had any prophylactic antibiotics.I will advise you see your Doctor for examination. A vaginal swap smear test will be needed to know if an infection or just a shift in vaginal flora.
