I had just gotten to my destination after driving 4.5 hrs and felt like I had been bitten by an insect. Felt an itching sensation too. Picked up my pant leg and had a large dark blue welt the size of 2 silver dollars on my leg calf. I've elevated it and put ice for the swelling, but what else can be done? I'm a 51 yr old female and have never had this happen before. I am out of town and have an event that requires a lot of walking to attend and after 5 hrs, there is still pain in the calf.
