General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,my name is dr,Dorina Gurabardhi.
I understand your concern.
Some advices that I can give to you are:
-Take antiparasitic drugs like diethylcarbamazine (DEC) and ivermectin to destroy the worm.
-Antibiotics like doxycycline help to sterilize the filarial worm, and can kill certain species.
- Antihistamines like cetirizine to reduce itching and inflammation.
-Analgesics like ibuprofen for pain relief.
You should contact to an infectionist for a specific treatment.
Hope my answer was helpful,if you have any other question I will be glad to answer, thanks!
