What Causes Crying, exhaustion, loneliness And Loss Of Concentration?

I've been sick since 22nd April, not left the house & can't really speak/walk due to breathlessness. I've been crying lots, can't sleep yet exhausted, feel so lonely and irrationally angry. I've lost concentration and don't want sex. Is it random depression or a side effect of either Prednisolon or Klaricid?

Hi,

I read your query and can understand your distress. The symptoms that you have mentioned are suggestive of depressive episode.

You have mentioned about prednisolone. But you haven't mentioned the reason as to why you are taking it, since when and what dose. Depression can be induced by prednisolone which is a steroid. In any case, you will need treatment for depression. You must consult your physician who is prescribing you prednisolone and discuss you symptoms. You will need treatment with anti-depressants (like escitalopram or sertraline) in addition to modifying of stopping prednisolone.

Hope this information was helpful. Best wishes.
