Hi dear ,

The symptoms you mention in query is pointing towards a condition known as temporomandibular joint ( TMJ ) dislocation . Sometimes due to injury or sudden jerk the TMJ become dislocated . I would suggest you to follow certain instructions like do not open mouth wide open , do not eat hard food , try to eat soft food or liquid and tie a bandage around head and jaw to stabilize joint . Consult oral surgeon for proper diagnosis to find out exact cause and to rule out condition like bell's palsy . Doctor may do reduction of the joint and put the condyles in socket of joint . Doctor may prescribe muscle relaxant along with anti inflammatory drugs .

Hope your concern has been resolved.
