What Causes Cough While On Treatment For Atrial Fibrillation?
My brother had cardio version for atrial fib. He was dx with a pneumonia before the treatment.since the treatment his cough is very troublesome he sleeps sitting up. He is on an AB. Is something else causing the cough? The cardio version was three days ago

Depending on the severity of the pneumonia there are different approaches to getting rid of his cough. Sometimes the cough is triggered by the accumulation of fluid in the lungs, and simply by draining this fluid the cough reduces.
In my opinion the cough is because of the pneumonia, but the exact cause will have to be figured out and addressed.
