What Causes Cough Along With Running Nose In An Infant?
My 6 month old baby has vomitted 3 times today and has a cough and a little runny nose. He won t eat his food like he doesn t have an appetite. He hasn t had a fever. Just wondering what I can do to help him feel better. He just doesn t look like he feels good and is fussy. Should I take him to the doctor if this happens tomorrow too?
I share your concerns. Your baby has got infection in his upper respiratory tract. It could be due to exposure to cold or cold milk or from some other family members. Whenever infant is ill, he/she does not accept feeds, so you need to take care of his illness and he will start taking feeds.
You need to visit a doctor for examination. Your kid will require a course of antibiotic(penicillin group), decongestants, antihistamines and cough syrup. Avoid cold exposure and cold feeds (if any). Your kid will be fine in 2 to 3 days.
I hope my reply will help you. Please write to us for more questions. I wish good health toyour kid. Kindlyrate tthireplyepThanks
