What Causes Contraction Feeling While Urinating?

5 May 2014, I had surgery to prevent me from leaking urine when I laugh, cough or run. But on the 30th of May, I was unable to pee on my own. I m having the feelings of contractions that make me feel as though I need to pee, but nothing. These contractions are every 20 to 60 minutes apart. When I stand up, sit down, drive, or walk, I suddenly start peeing, but I can t feel it. As soon as I make it to the stool and sit down, I suddenly stop peeing and another contraction starts; but as soon as I stand and walk out of the bathroom, I start peeing again. Why? Has the surgery gone terribly wrong?
