Hi,I am Dr. Radhakrishna (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I HAD AN ABDOMINAL ULTRASOUND DONE AND THE TECH SAID MY BLADDER WAS CONTRACTED WHICH WAS ABNORMAL. I WASIN THE ER FOR NAUSEA AND VOMITING FOR ABOUT 48 Hours. My lack w as s 2·7 . I JUST VOMITED AGAIN BUT I FEEL BETTER SHOULD I RETURN TO THE ER OR WAIT IT OUT TO SEE IF I VOMIT AGAIN?
1.There are several reasons for nausea and vomiting could be food allergy at first place. 2.The other possibilities could be renal calculus / appendicitis / enteritis / gall bladder pathologies. 3.In females in reproductive age group - pregnancy related issues can be suspected. 4.In this case - ultrasound will help to rule out most possible causes of the solid organ pathologies. 5.Contracted bladder is not a pathology - empty bladder always seen as contracted for which you do not have to worry. Empty bladder will not let tech to evaluate the pelvis. 6. If you continue to vomit you can take anti emetic, but need to find out the cause.
Good luck. Hope i have answered your query, any thing to ask ? do not hesitate to ask. http://doctor.healthcaremagic.com/doctors/dr-ganesh/62888
