What Causes Constipation While Suffering From Diabetes?

Hi, It seems I am not regular (BM) yet I feel no pain or really full. Yet I don t Have BMs often to complement my intake. My weight seems to maintain the same which is 270 lbs. I am diabetic and on dialysis 3x a week for 4 hours each visit. What could be going on? I don t feel ill but this doesn t seem right. I do pass gas regularly. Should I be concerned? When I do have a BM it is very small. Thank you for your time suggestions and help.

Hello,
Welcome and thanks for your query.
I understand your concern.
The bowel irregularity is due to autonomic neuropathy which is a complication of diabetes like your kidney failure.
If you have one bowel movement in 3 days, it is sufficient.
Take care
