Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Constipation Along With Lower Backache And Abdominal Bloating?
have not had a bowel movement for three days. pain in lower back, right side. Feel bloated. checked in to emergency room two days ago, and they did a CAT scan and said I had a kidney stone. Waiting for it to pass through; however, what does that have to do with my bowel function?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advise.
Sometimes it happens that severe pain decreases bowel movements reflexly. Try pain killers and antispasmodic medications - Tablet diclofenac, Injection buscopan It will help to relieve stone pain and bowel spasm
For kidney stone - drink plenty of water. if stone is less than 5 mm it will pass out on its on. usually >8 mm stones require surgical removal.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards Dr. Hiren
