What Causes Constant Tickling Feeling In Ears?

I have had a constant tickling feeling in my ear for a few weeks now. I don't have any pain, it just feels like there is some moving around in there. Many ears ago, a day after getting off of a flight, I had the same sensation. I put a Q-tip in and came out with blood. That scared me, so I went to the doctor. I was informed that my eardrum was ruptured due to flying with a severe head cold. I haven't done anything like that lately, but it is the same sensation. What could it be? Thanks.

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi. The tickling sensation you are getting might be due to eustachian tube catarrh usually associated with common cold or flu. Otoscopic examination of the affected ear will help in diagnosis and further management. Thanks.
