What Causes Constant Pain In The Neck And Shoulder?

I am suffering from neck and shoulder pain. I can t raise my arm and I can t turn my neck. I had rotator cuff surgery a couple of years ago. And the pain feels the same. Is this my rotator cuff? The doctor thinks its cervical radiculopathy. My MRI is next week. Thank you

Hi,

Neck and shoulder pain can be from the rotator cuff or can also be due to cervical radiculopathy, the MRI you are going to have will give more information on the cause.

Still in both cases you would benefit a lot if you see a physiotherapist as well to give you exercises to release the nerve that might be pinched or relax the muscles that might be in spasm due to pain.Paracetamol and Ibuprofen are good to release pain and local warm compresses.

Hope I have answered your query.

Let me know if I can assist you further.
