Hi,
Possible causes are as follows:
- Chkengunia in past that has caused such changes
-
Rheumatic fever in past and thus the toxins getting embedded into the joints, knees being the most common
- Autoimmune disorders
- Actually the inflammation may be in the ligaments or tendons near the joints and causing such pains, say like fibromyalgia; this should be discussed with your doctors
MRI of the most affected joint may help in diagnosis. Aspiration of fluid from the joint and send for lab tests. Rule out
diabetes. Oral or local injection of
steroids in calculated doses may help to have relief and possible cure. Identify the foods, beverages, factors like
stress and
anxiety and avoid all these. Sometimes a senior Family Physician can help better. So consult your doctor and discuss the above points so that he can get you invested, diagnosed and treated accordingly.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
