What Causes Constant Headaches Along With Lip Twitching Post Parotidectomy?

I have had a primary scc of the parotid..surgical removal of parotid followed by max radiation. I have in the last 2 months or maybe more began having constant headaches, pain behind my eye ,increased pain along the sugery side and eye and lip twitching almost daily.I dont have much feeling on that side from the ear to the chin. I also have had some inner ear pain and sore throat lately. I dont feel any lumps. All these pains and twitching are new.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have constant headaches along with lip twitching post parotidectomy . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like migraine , bell's palsy or neuralgia . It can also occur due to nerve dysfunction as post operative complication , so consult surgeon again .I would suggest you to apply warm compresses on face , eat soft food and take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain . Consult neurologist for proper examination . Doctor may order CT scan , MRI and physical examination . Doctor may prescribe vasograine , betablockers , frusamide , nerve supplement or may recommend alcohol infection in root of nerve or surgery .
