Hello, Doctor. I am having concerns over a potential concussion. It s necessary to begin, though, by saying that I have a history of anxiety and hypochondria, and a concussion related phobia. I had a diagnosed minor concussion 2 years ago, and ever since I ve gone into panic numerous times after hitting my head, and on 3-4 occasions I developed concussion like symptoms, though I was not definite on the origin of my symptoms. This is one of those times, I hit my temple on the side of my guitar 4 days ago. over the course of a day or so, I developed confusion and a mild headache, and as of yesterday, I had a more noticeable but still mild symptoms. Today I awoke with not much headache but significant fogginess to the point where I couldn t focus in math class. I was wondering if it is possible, based on the minor impact, that I am perhaps more susceptible to concussions, or if there is an alternate factor creating these symptoms? I am sure that I am feeling intense anxiety but do not believe it to be the sole cause of all my symptoms.
