What Causes Constant Feeling Of Something Stuck In Throat?
Hi There,i have a constant feeling that something is stuck in my throat, i burp alot & when i try to get what ever is out my throat there is light blood in my spit i have had a gastroscopy 3 months ago as i was having pain in my stomach everything was clear but i have found since having the gastroscopy i have had pain in my neck, still burping & now i feel like there is something stuck in my throat.
Hello and welcome to HCM, Examination of the throat is required to look for any mass or lesion that is causing the feeling of something stuck in the throat. The source of blood in sputum could be from respiratory tract or from throat. Thus, examination of the larynx with direct and indirect laryngoscopy is required. In case no lesion is detected on laryngoscopy, examination of the respiratory tract can be done. Pain in stomach can be due to gastritis, indigestion, bloating etc. Associated burping suggests indigestion. If no lesion is detected in throat and respiratory tract then probably the symptoms are due to gastric problem only.
