What Causes Constant Diarrhea For Weeks?

I am having diaherra symptoms for two weeks now. I have been on an antibiotic and it went away for a few days and started coming back this past weekend. I am drinking more water and Gatorade. My stomach does not hurt. Could it be something with my colon? I feel tired (probably dehydrated). What could it be? bill

Hi,

Do your CBC, stool examination is useful for diagnosis! Drink a lot, take coconut water for weakness, ORS homemade or market are available, it can be toxin induced in food eaten or bacterial infection! If you also feel constipation in between then more chances of colon involved or other issues.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Sunny Madar, General & Family Physician
