Hi,

Your symptoms may be related to your gallbladder surgery, although it is important to rule out other potential causes as well. Some possible explanations for your ongoing symptoms include:
- Bile acid malabsorption: After gallbladder surgery, some people may experience a condition known as bile acid malabsorption, in which bile produced by the liver flows directly into the small intestine instead of being stored in the gallbladder. This can lead to diarrhea and other gastrointestinal symptoms.
- Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD): Gallbladder surgery has been linked to an increased risk of developing IBD, a group of chronic conditions that cause inflammation in the digestive tract. Symptoms can include diarrhea, abdominal pain, weight loss, and fatigue.
- Post-cholecystectomy syndrome: This is a term used to describe a variety of symptoms that some people experience after gallbladder surgery, including abdominal pain, bloating, and diarrhea.
- Other digestive conditions: Many other digestive conditions can cause symptoms such as diarrhea, vomiting, and abdominal pain, including gastroenteritis, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), and celiac disease.
- Endocrine disorders: Hormonal imbalances or disorders such as thyroid dysfunction, adrenal gland disorders, or diabetes can also cause gastrointestinal symptoms, weight gain, and fatigue.

It is important to discuss your symptoms with your healthcare provider to determine the underlying cause and develop an appropriate treatment plan. They may perform tests such as blood work, stool analysis, or imaging studies to help diagnose the problem. In some cases, referral to a gastroenterologist or other specialist may be necessary.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
