What Causes Constant Bleeding After Inserting Mirena?

I got the mirena inserted a little over two months ago and have been bleeding ever since.. When it seems to lighten up to go away it appears the next day. I get really bad cramps and the majority of the time I have sexual intercourse, its painful.. Is this normal?

Thank you for your query
hello
Bleeding per vaginum continously after inserting mirena is not normal.the bleeding and pain during sexual intercourse is due to improper insertion of the mirena or the injury caused to vaginal wall during the insertion of mirena . the previous injury may get flare up because of the friction of mirena to it.the pain is also result of infection . you need to remove the mirena and reinsert a new one after the bleeding stops completely and treatment of infection if any .your case need to be examined properly.kindly meet personally a doctor for further treatment.
