Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have had asthma since I was 4 and it has always been easy to control with my inhalers when needed. It seems as since the middle of December I have had this deep cough that won t go away or get better. I m wondering if this is something else or just my asthma getting worse
Asthma does get exacerbation causing cough and chest symptoms however if it not responding to the treatment of asthma we should always think of other causes as well like infection, or aspergillosis.
So if it's not responding to the asthma treatment, then you should seek medical advice as there are a few other possibilities.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Mahboob Ur Rahman,
