What Causes Congestion In Chest And Throat Along With Sneezing?

I am sneezing and cold filling from yesterday evening . I can tolerate fever but feel discomfort with cold.
I seems some congestion in my chest and throat. Most of my lab mate have cold and are sneezing form last one week.Please advice me , what i should take from chemist.

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain the symptoms of cold, fever, sneezing and congestion seems to be due to causes like Upper respiratory tract infection also known as Common cold, Influenza or Flu..
As either of these are viral infections and will resolve once the virus will complete its cycle in human body..
I would suggest you to start taking supportive treatment like anti allergics like Levocetrizine or Allegra, decongestants like Phenylephrine, mucolytics like Ambroxol, cough suppressants like Dextromethorphan and cough expectorant like Gueifenesin..
You can do warm saline gargles, steam inhalation and use a humidifier in your room..
Sip on plenty of water throughout the day..
You should do warm compresses over the chest..
void spicy and chilled foods..
