What Causes Confusion And Dizziniess After Taking Starbucks Double Shots?
Hello. My boyfriend has been experiencing confusion, dizziniess, and feeling out of sorts . He has recently discontinued taking Starbucks DoubleShots which he was consuming at least once a day. Could these symptoms be a detox reaction? He is 55 years old. We recently went to walgreens to check his blood pressure, and it was fine. I worry about possible stroake. He currently has 3 stents in his heart that were placed in 2009.
Hi there. Thank you for using HCM. Starbucks Doubleshots contains about 125 mg of caffeine. While caffeine withdrawal exists, the symptoms do NOT include confusion and dizziness. He needs to be seen by a doctor AS SOON AS POSSIBLE even though his blood pressure was normal. Your are correct to worry about a stroke. The doctor needs to examine him and work him up. Basic investigations include blood sugar levels, ECG and maybe a CT brain if his symptoms persist. Thank you.
