Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Cold, Persistent Cough, Body Aches And Wheezing?
I have had a cold for about two weeks now and concerned somewhat about the chance of pneumonia. My symptoms are a persistent cough, some aches in my body particularly in my torso, A little bit of wheezing. There is no fever, although I don t have much energy either.
In your situation I think, specially without fever the most probably diagnosis is to have upper respiratory tract infection (tracheobronchitis). Acute tracheobronchitis is an illness characterized by cough, with or without sputum production, or wheezing, lasting 1 to 3 weeks. So, you need to do a physical examination (pulmonary auscultation) by a pneumologist and pulmonary radiography if need it to clarify better your situation and to take the right medication.
I hope my answer help you. Let me know if I can assist you further. I wish you quick recovery.
Regards, Dr. Monika Dede
