What Causes Cold Feet In A Male With Relapsing-remitting MS?

I am a 62 year old white male with Relapsing-Remitting MS. Recently, my hands and feet are always feel very cold. The rest of my body is cold as well. I had been taking Tecfidera for three months until my insurance (Tri-Care) decided it was not going to pay for it. Other than heated soxs, gloves, and blankets, what else can I do? My Dr. does not return my phone or e-mail messages.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The most common reason for cold sensation in the peripheries would be a reduction in blood supply to the area.

Decreased blood supply to an area causes decreased temperature. This may be related to your MS or may be related to one of the other causes of peripheral vascular disease (eg hypertension, smoking, high cholesterol).

I hope this helps
