What Causes Cold Burning Sensation With Shortness Of Breath In Chest?
occasionally I have this cold burning sensation in my chest and throat. It's like I am inhaling cold air when I am just breathing. At these times I find it difficult to breath, and I am short of breath. One thing that I find to be consistent, is the fact that this generally occurrs one to two days after taking an allergy or cold medication. Can anyone help me with what may cause this?

Bronchitis with Cold.
Burning sensation in chest and throat- is from irritation of the cold air to the inflamed bronchial mucosa lining. Resultant increase in congestion of mucosa,chokes the bronchial and alveolar passages.This choking from inflammation- post-air trauma to the bronchial mucosa.
This effect is seen mostly after 2 -3 days of taking medicines.This is because
of the anti-muscarinic/ or anti-cholinergic effects of the anti-histaminics used in the Cold medicines.
Remedy-
Adequate fluid intake and Steam inhalations would reduce the irritation of the air linings and would reduce the cold burning sensation with shortness of breath in chest.
