What Causes Cold And Fever In Infants?

My son 1.7years old.He has been suffering cold and fever past 4 days.My doctor gave antibiotic for 3 days once a time.In the every night the fever coming (100-101°) and i am giving him sumol paracitamol 125mg after then the fever gone.so what can I do about the fever?

Hello. I have gone through your question. your son might be suffering from an upper respiratory tract infection. I would suggest to change the antibiotic to another one. He might not have responded to the earlier antibiotic as he is still getting fever. If the infection subsides the fever will subside too.
