What Causes Cognitive And Social Functioning Delay In Child?

My daughter is 6 years old. She started proper walking by three years and speaking by 4 years. She has been in the school for the last 3 years but stiill has not learnt most of the alphabets. However. She. Is good at mathhs and mattching. Shhe is shy of speaaking before others. Sometimees she does nit respond iinttentionally. She is afraid of insects. She sttill does not do cycling. She is far behhind if the childddren of his age. She has not got adequate vocabulary. I have got her assesssed in a special school but they say that she is not placced in special cchildren we place him in the caategory of below average. I am worried. What should i do???

Welcome to healthcaremagic.com. Sorry about your worry, please note that your child has developmental delay that is common (not common to you obviously). I would place a support system to help her catch up, especially when at home have more stimulating things around her. Her environment needs to be nurturing so that she can pick up on the social skills needed to flourish. I hope this helps and good luck.
