What Causes Cloudy Vision After Taking Z-Pak For Sinus Infection?
Hello, I was seen my doctor yesterday for headache, ear and eye pain. He gave me z pac for possible sinus infection. Last night I covered each eye and found that my right eye has a cloudy area upon looking at things. I have a pineal cyst and also a history of double vision and headaches. My neurologist office called me back today and said go to the ER. What does this couldy spot mean?
Based on your description a central nervous system cause for your symptoms should be ruled out primarily. A neurological exam, testing for eye movements, Slit lamp exam, fundoscopy would be required initially.
If a focal neurological deficit involving the sensory or motor system is found then a CT scan can be advised to look for a possible stroke.
However, if the physical exam is normal and your symptoms haven't recurred then ENT and Eye exam should be conducted to look for any local cause for your symptoms.
The unilateral numbness and watery eye can be related to a 7th nerve palsy but that can only be determined by a physical examination. I would advise you to go to an E.R near you to get the proper assessment.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Ivan R. Rommstein, General Surgeon
