What Causes Clicking Sound In The Brain Along With Dizziness?

I have this clicking sound in my brain, it s sounds like a hand fan slapping shut if that makes sense, when I get it I feel like I am going to pass out, but don t (pass out) but I am dizzy. It happens all the time, lying down, standing, sitting etc sometimes every minute or two, sometimes I can go for about 30 minutes without it. There is no pain, my ears do not pop, it is not tinnitus. It s inside my brain usually from one side to the other, or just the noise and the dizziness. The noise is unbearable.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of clicking sound in the brain along with dizziness which can occur due to accumulation of ear wax, ear fluid, ear infection to more serious condition like acoustic neuroma. Other condition like Eustachian tube dysfunction can also be one of the reasons .Need not to worry. If your symptoms and episodes of earache are getting frequent then you should consult ENT specialist and start treatment after prescription. Doctor may order certain test like audiometery , CT scan ,MRI , low and high pitched ringing to rule out conditions like hearing loss , exposure to loud noises , earwax build-up , middle ear infection. Doctor may treat it according to the diagnosis , may prescribe medicine antibiotics. Doctor may prescribe drug like eperisone , muscle relaxant and sedatives. Maintain hygiene and avoid pricking it with sharp object. Taking steam several times a day will help you alot .

Hope your concern has been resolved.
