What Causes Clammy Skin In An Infant?

My daughter is 3 months old. She seems To be clammy. She doesn t seem too hot or too cold. Her temperature is normal (36.4 degrees). She prefers to be laying on her back, and is also content sitting up. I m wondering if it s just teething but the clammyness worries me and my SO. She just had a hearing test on Monday and everything came back fine.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

If her temperature is normal (within 35.5 and 37.5C) and she is behaving as normal and seems active, eating and drinking as usual, there is nothing to worry about.

If you notice any change in her behavior or she develops any new symptoms you will need to have her examined with her doctor.

I hope this answers your query. I remain at your disposal in case further medical assistance is needed.

Regards,
Dr. Antoneta Zotaj, General and Family Physician
