Hi Dear,

Understanding your concern.

Brief Answer - Otitis Externa

Detailed answer - As per your query you have white flaky discharge from ears which is due to bacterial or fungal infection of ear canal. Least likely it could be due to dermatological condition as well. Swimming, trauma to ear canal by ear bud, humidity all are exaggerating factors for this.

i would suggest you to put Neomycin or Polymixin ear drops in ear canal for 5-7 days. 2% solution of acetic acid three times a day for one week is very effective against fungal and bacterial infection and will give immediate relief.

Wear tight fitting ear cap while swimming or showering and put acidifying drops after that. Avoid poking or scratching skin on and off basis. Fluoroquinolone drops are also an effective remedie to get rid off your condition.

Visit dermatologist once if your condition still persists to rule out Psoriasis like condition.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
