Hi,

I really appreciate your concern, seizure, convulsion, fit, demands the great attention, because it may be due to pathology of brain, it may be functional, (hysteria), differentiation is very important and for that it required imaging studies like MRI scan of brain.

If this is the pure from of seizure and not hysteria then it may needs anti-convulsion drugs some time it may be grand mal seizure which responds very well to Phenytoin and other drugs, and if it fails to respond then it may not be the grand mal seizure.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Akhtarhusain Shaikh
