What Causes Chronic Pain In The Thigh Muscle?

My right thigh is pain free in the morning. By noon I have a slight ache in my thigh muscle and by the time I go to bed I can barely lift my leg to go up steps. It has only been happening for the last few days. I am unaware of any injury. I work at a desk most of the day, it does not seem to matter if I rest all day or walk around, the pain very slowly increases throughout the day. Is this something I should continue icing down or could it be something serious?

HI
Well come HCM
If it is not the injury then no need to use the ice but it can be tried with NSAID (Non steroid Anti-inflammatory Drugs) and best option is Diclofenac with Acetaminophen it is the analgesic drug and it is not the cure for the condition but underlying cause of the pain is matter of concern, I could say that it could be due to muscular spasm or it could be due to sciatica it needs to be differentiated and ruled out till then you can used the mentioned analgesic, take care. (If it is not the injury and used the ice, can increase the pain initially )
