What Causes Chronic Fatigue, Diarrhea And Swelling In Lymph Nodes?

Hello, I have a number of concerning symptoms that just don t seem to go away- fatigue, diarrhea, red face, rashes on my arms that come and go (resemble pattechiae, but I think they come and go too fast to actually be), dizziness, fatigue, and swollen lymphnodes in my neck. I went to the doctor a few months ago, and blood work was normal except wbc were on the lower side of normal (4,000). Also yesterday, I was at dinner when my arms got so heavy I couldn t lift them, I had to sit back, and I couldn t speak. It only lasted 3-5 minutes, but it was really a scary feeling. Any thoughts on what this could be?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Swelling in the lymph nodes in the neck may be due to sinus infection, ear infection, infected tooth, strep throat, cold / fly, etc. Warm wet compression will ease pain and discomfort. Since you are getting dizziness with fatigue, get clinically examine by an ENT to detect vertigo, you will be accordingly treated.

Dizziness and fatigue can also be due to dehydration, low BP, hypoglycemia, etc., as you had diarrhea recently. Stay well hydrated (to correct your sodium/potassium level), take ORS, soups, juice and home made nutritious food so that your vitals get normal. Take a break from work, take quality sleep and rest. Stay away from stressful lifestyle & avoid addictions if any.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
