What Causes Chronic Discomfort While Swallowing Post Thoracic Surgery?

Hello. I am 8 weeks removed from thoracic surgery (blebectomy with pleurodesis) to correct spontaneous pneumos on my right side. After the surgery, on top of healing pains I would intermittently get this heavy feeling at the base of my throat where clavicles meet. discomfort when swallowing and at rest but no pain, noticed it mostly when lying flat on my back. It would eventually go away. For the last few weeks I ve felt great, almost back to normal and then this past week that heavy feeling showed up again and hasn t gone away. Going on day seven now. Phoned my surgeons office to inquire, they think it could be soft tissue damage. They told me to take Advil and I should notice a difference in a few days. I haven t noticed any change. Please advise. This feeling is extremely irritating and worrisome. Thanks Ryan
